Consciously lazy.

It has been some weeks now since my last plan was shown. They did say when you stop, you need to start all over again since after you have been sponsored.

The funny part of this story is the ambiguity that the whole network marketting has in terms of life's purpose, business plan and a chance for the little guys to break free. Once a person starts to work on NM, there is a need to focus in sponsoring more and more.

Walking on a thin line of good and bad business, it keeps haunting the fact after a long-stop working on the 'business' of 'recruitment', it seems very realistic to me that it has a facet not so pretty.

Here are the stuff a prospects hear;
1) No recurring purchase.
2) No time limit.
3) Potential unlimited US Dollars payout.
4) Minimum two fifty a week.

For a networker here are the remaining explanations;
1) Yes. Due to the fact that the products are not consumption based, therefore, once is practically enough unless you want to double or triple your income. That means purchase more to activate more nodes. Although there is a common agreement from all seniors that not to activate more than 3 nodes. Thus, if N.I.R, choose to do so can establish with a different identity. Same as every other NM/DS business, training is frequent because this business survive with people sticking-on. This means sponsors need more motivation from time to time, otherwise most will be like me.
Those who has a number of sponsors must too display attribute of leadership by attending because monkey see monkey do effects.

2) Time limit is mainly directed to, non expiring points. However at times when loosely mention can easily sway a prospect to assume or understand it in a different context. The truth is, once you start stopping is easy and restarting is harder. In many cases, a season networker will use the following analogy to coax a prospects decision;
a) Car acceleration.
b) Commercial airplane taking off and cruises at constant altitude.
c) Anything relating to momentum in elementary physics such as rocket takes off, etc.

3) Yes only if you consistently repeat the steps daily/weekly/monthly. The more you perform the more you get rejected and a chance of acceptance. The more you get rejected the more N.I.R becomes demotivated. The more demotivated the more the desire to quit and drop back to once life was simple and serene in the corporate administrative environment. That's when all the functions (cost $$), training (outside venue $$$) and meetings (cost little $$$) comes into existence to keep everyone in check, motivated and energetic. For me I would use an analogy of shepard, babe the pig and sheeps (ba-ram-ewe).

4) Minimum two fifty per week is also an over simplified ambigious term used to allow so much room for a prospect to assume a different set of expectations. Look, it means the minimun withdrawal is two fifty. If not met, then the amount stays in the account until fulfilled.

In short, it's difficult to explain so many things to a prospect in a short period of face-to-face meeting. It just happens that is so. New sponsored I.Rs must first be very honest to him/herself before attempting to conduct this as a business in networking. The cut short key points allows to emphasize a point, a level of ambiguity.

Honest, truthful and answer the question with truth. Say less and listen more to prospect. Remember only have 45 to 1 hour. After than prospect loses concentration.

The projections

In a recent event while showing plan, a significant part that requires N.I.R to conduct is the projection, why?

There are many variations derieve from the same business model. Here are the following;

1) Sunglasses - typically to remove doubt of smarty-ass think know-it-all prospects, of a pyramidic scheme. Sometimes, I noticed that the word is so general and abused by many.

2) Ten months - short and sweet type.

3) Slow networker a.k.a 4 years - a long term picture for a prospect who is hardworking and still thinks it's too good to be true. Realistic and less pressure for prospect to imagine.

4) Other business monthly cash generation - This starts by asking prospect their expected amount extra a month generated from other business they have in mind. Sometimes I found people who are in a job has no idea the amount and very likely will utter something like 50% of their current salary. I, like my sifu sifu, love using this.

Well, there was a problem. Last week a friend cum ex-colleague of mine utter a bizarre 6 figure monthly income from the other business. Taken aback by her request, I chosed the Projection (3) instead. The primary reason was in 3 years that figure matches the amount but not the duration. Unfortunately, she was expecting per-month.

Finally I managed to pop the question to a senior rep who I truly adore her teddy bear features. In this case I refer her as "teddybear girl" because she is cute and single! Anyway, teddybear girl suggested I determine the genuity of the prospect. She said N.I.R must establish an understanding whether the person is simply throwing a number or genuinely knows an alternative to generate that income amount. How to know? Ask, enquire, talk and aren't we networking.

If say prospect is true, perhaps also a networker/insurance/mutual fund agent herself, use Projection(4) with an elobrated figure to generate the desire amount. Don't be afraid with the large numbers by multiplying 10/100/1000 to get prospect's expected figure because it's a projection after all. This comes back to the 'why?' at the beginning of this entry.

Why do a projection?
What is the purpose to do a projection when showing the plan?

Simple answer: You must.
My answer: Establishes the business model can achieve prospect's target. Did you notice the bold words? At this point solely puts the decision squarely back to the prospect whether to achieve from the business model itself.

Day 1 in network marketing.

I did NOTHING!

Surely, this relates to some. However for me, I was very much interested in the education it has to offer. If silently sit and introspect myself, it was Robert T.Kiyosaki's audio that had everything to do with the decision I made exactly nine months, in the next 7 days, ago. Coincidentally, the day I clicked the 'Confirm' button was on August 31, 2005. Yes it was that long and I should be a millionaire by now, NOT! Why?

The answer is simple. It is because I did nothing! There is no one else to blame except for my own. Yes I forked out the initial amount... and thank god this model does not require you to start with large capital outlay and best of all no quota and no recurring purchases!

However, every good thing has its disadvantage in disguise. Yes! Yin & Yang. Black & White. one & zeros. Sorry got a bit carried away with philosophy here.

Yes with features highlighted in 'orange' , motivation has an enemy.Why?

Sales people knows very well that nothing drives them but numbers. Project managers knows that they are measured by the quality and deadline delivery of a project. Others would be like my old job, I.T.Specialist. I must achieve 80% utilization at the end of every year otherwise, I will receive a rude call from my dear resource manager. There are other examples and I am not going to cover all. Comments are welcome.

The awakening

The same title came across my mind sometime back, however it is clearer now. The very purpose I am starting this blog was entirely the same purpose that propelled my profile description i.e. I am just a no one in the world of so much confusion, to me.

Fortunately, through friends who are sincere in helping my growth, I truly thank them for showing me the path. Now is mine to crawl, walk, run, ride, drive or strap myself onto a rocket then blast away. However, no matter which mode I decide to take, I must have a destination else I will be flying round and round. Sounds absurd to some who already think they have found the answer to success or already successful. However here I would like to paraphrase someone whom to me is very successful yet humble in every aspect of devotion as a fellow human being;

In defining success to one is unique yet not just the amount of money one has and must attain mindly peace to be able to detach from worldly matters and yet regain them back without a drop of blame on others.

Imagine if you are drop in the middle of desert and walk without a compass. Truly you will find footsteps after hours of walking. Why?

Here I will try not to mention any about network marketing company I am engaged in simply because I don't know if I am legally bound by T&C. Definitely I will find out soon. The following are facts about me and network marketting.

My first ever network marketing company? YES.
Global business possiblity? YES with ease.
Signed up at first sight? NO had doubts.
Made any money yet? YES.
Can prove it? YES
Broke even from initial investment? YES and NO
Do I have USD1Million in my bank account? NO
Is it Lampe.Berger.? NO {reason I brought this up is because it's quite hotly blogged these days}

Truly this is my first year in Network Marketing but my 20th year in networking. Reason is because all of us have been directly and indirectly building relationships all the time unconciously. Just that the relationships were never leverage to the extent of business objectivity because in a century we all are born in, it is ECONOMIC driven. Why?

This blog will place in my, mine, true accounts of being a network marketeer for a company that was build with a strong foundation of belief in growing oneself then help human kind. (Those who is in the same business, sounds familiar? ((wink)))

Occasionally I will invite guest bloggers to help put in a few articles or so to enlighten others of their experience. Maybe even create an online QnA, maybe. I am indeed very excited about this blog because of the vast pool of information within that is pouring out all at once.

However, I am not going to drag this first posting till next page and will stop at this point now.
